1. Scope of Practice & Health Disclaimer
Massage therapy is intended to support relaxation, mobility, muscular comfort, and general wellness. Within the scope of massage therapy, the therapist may provide professional observations, self-care suggestions, movement or stretching recommendations, and other guidance consistent with her education, training, and licensure. These recommendations are intended to complement, not replace, appropriate medical care.
Massage therapists do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications or medical treatments, or provide medical care. Massage therapy is not a substitute for evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified healthcare professional.
As part of the therapeutic relationship, clients and the therapist may also have exploratory conversations regarding health, wellness, treatment options, supplements, products, emerging therapies, or other topics that extend beyond the scope of massage therapy. Any information, ideas, resources, experiences, or personal observations shared during these broader discussions are offered for general educational purposes and independent research only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, or a professional recommendation to begin, discontinue, or modify any medication, supplement, treatment, or healthcare regimen.
Clients are responsible for consulting an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before making medical or treatment decisions and for decisions they independently make following such conversations.
2. Client Health & Safety
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and current information regarding relevant health conditions, injuries, medications, recent procedures, pregnancy, allergies, or other circumstances that may affect the safety or appropriateness of massage.
Clients should reschedule if they are experiencing a contagious illness, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or another condition for which massage may be inappropriate. Certain medical conditions, injuries, procedures, or medications may require modification of treatment or medical clearance before massage can safely be provided.
Services may be modified, postponed, or declined when clinically appropriate or when a condition falls outside the therapist's scope of practice.
3. Consent to Treatment
Massage therapy is provided with the client's informed and ongoing consent. Clients may request that pressure, positioning, techniques, areas of treatment, or any other aspect of the session be modified or discontinued at any time.
Clients are encouraged to communicate openly regarding pressure, comfort, positioning, temperature, draping, or any other aspect of their session. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
The therapist likewise reserves the right to modify, decline, or discontinue treatment when necessary for client or therapist safety, professional boundaries, scope of practice, or appropriate clinical judgment.
4. Professional Boundaries & Draping
All services provided by S Field Healing Therapy LLC are strictly professional and therapeutic in nature.
Appropriate draping will be maintained throughout the session, and only the area currently being treated will be uncovered. Client privacy, comfort, and professional boundaries will be respected throughout treatment.
5. Zero-Tolerance Sexual Misconduct Policy
Massage therapy services provided by S Field Healing Therapy LLC are nonsexual without exception.
Sexual comments, requests, advances, intentional exposure, inappropriate touching, gestures, or other sexually suggestive or inappropriate behavior are strictly prohibited.
Any sexual or inappropriate conduct may result in the immediate termination of the session, with no obligation to continue providing services. If a session is terminated due to client misconduct or violation of professional boundaries, the full cost of the originally scheduled service remains due and payable, regardless of how much of the session has been completed. The client may also be refused future appointments. When warranted, inappropriate conduct may be documented or reported to the appropriate authorities.
S Field Healing Therapy LLC also reserves the right to share anonymized examples of inappropriate, harassing, or sexually suggestive interactions or conduct for educational purposes, professional-boundary awareness, or the safety of the massage therapy community. Any such content will be presented with reasonable efforts to remove personally identifying information. Acceptance of these Terms does not constitute consent to the public disclosure of a client's identity or confidential information.
6. Service Locations & Mobile Appointments
S Field Healing Therapy LLC primarily provides mobile massage services within a 20-mile travel radius of its base location in the 33755 area. Appointments outside the standard service area may be declined or may require prior approval and an additional travel fee, if applicable.
Limited in-office appointments may also be available at a designated professional location by prior arrangement. Availability of in-office services is not guaranteed and may vary based on scheduling and location availability.
For mobile appointments, clients are responsible for providing a safe, clean, and appropriate environment in which services can be performed, including adequate space for the massage table and therapist to work safely.
The therapist reserves the right to decline to enter a location or to leave at any time if the environment, circumstances, individuals present, or client behavior creates a safety or professional-boundary concern.
7. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Missed Appointments
Appointment times are reserved specifically for each client. A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Same-day cancellations for reasons other than an emergency or health-related circumstance are subject to the full cost of the scheduled service. This fee may be waived if the client provides a substitute who is able to receive the scheduled service during the originally reserved appointment time.
Emergencies and health-related cancellations will be handled with reasonable consideration for the circumstances.
S Field Healing Therapy LLC reserves the right to address repeated late cancellations, rescheduling, or missed appointments individually and may require payment or other arrangements before accepting future bookings.
If the therapist needs to reschedule an appointment due to illness, emergency, unsafe travel conditions, or another unforeseen circumstance, the client will be contacted as promptly as reasonably possible and will not be charged a cancellation fee.
